Below is a list of organisations running CPD courses.
See the MTI website to review all MTI meetings, regional team events and advanced courses offered by MTI schools. The advanced courses are certificated for CPD purposes by individual training schools. Some are also accredited by MTI.
The LCSP Register approves of the training in Remedial Massage and accepts as meeting the criteria for membership graduates from all the affiliated training schools represented by the governing body of the General Council for Massage Therapy (GCMT).
BASRaT currently accredits a number of educational programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at a variety of different educational institutions across the United Kingdom and Ireland. Programmes which gain BASRaT accreditation have demonstrated that the course includes the required module content and is suitably established to enable them to produce Graduate Sport Rehabilitators.
Any affiliated training within ATIUK has it's emphasis on meeting students starting points and encouraging and exploring new learning within a safe network of course structure. Learning is done through 4 day blocks of classroom attendance, homework and case studies.
The SMTO defines CPD 'as a range of learning activities through which professionals grow and develop throughout their careers to ensure that they retain their capacity to practise safely, effectively and legally within their evolving scope of practice.' Learning activities include anything that can advance a Member's professional competence.
