The Research Group supports the soft tissue and massage professions by developing and providing essential and fundamental research literacy, advising how to apply it using an evidence-informed approach. It also works to provide a platform for professional associations and their members to stay up to date with current research and new developments in the profession.

Objectives:
To identify knowledge gaps in the soft tissue and massage professions relative to research and evidence-informed practice and to fill those gaps through education, thereby improving skills and knowledge.
Provide a forum for discussion and collaboration among practitioners and educators to facilitate the exchange of ideas and best practices.
Promote and disseminate evidence-based practices to enhance the quality and safety of soft tissue and massage therapies.
Advocate for the recognition and integration of soft tissue and massage therapies into mainstream healthcare.
